Simply thousands of polycarbonate sheets

bulletproof as a piece of glass

with concrete layers of plastic

reflecting a shiny green tint.

A recognizable specimen on the left

and an expiration date to the right

next to the place of my first stutter

and first footprint.

Frozen with the alpha and the omega

of a permanent temporary residence

with the Statue of Liberty shining through

and beneath my fingerprint.

Simply a numbered paper shovel

covered in iron butter

with a red, white, blue scent

kinda like peppermint.
